Ombré Brow Course

Course Overview
The Ombré Brow Course at Artisan Training Academy is an intensive three-day cosmetic tattoo training program that teaches you the ombré brow technique — a soft, gradient, powder brow effect created with a cosmetic tattoo machine. Delivered one-on-one at our Gold Coast training studio in Worongary, the course covers everything from brow mapping and pigment selection through to the practical application of the technique on live clients.
Whether you’re starting your cosmetic tattoo career, a Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing student adding ombré to your repertoire, or an established PMU artist expanding into the powder brow technique, this course is structured to take you from theory into confident, hands-on practice. You’ll complete the course ready to begin offering ombré brow services to your own clients.
Key Outcome
Complete a 3-day one-on-one ombré brow training and finish the course confident in performing the ombré (powder brow) cosmetic tattoo technique on real clients, with a full professional student kit and ongoing trainer support.

Prerequisites
You must hold HLTINF005 Maintain Infection Prevention for Skin Penetration Treatments before commencing the practical component of this course. HLTINF005 is the nationally recognised infection control unit required to perform skin penetration work in Australia. As an RTO (provider number 46085), we deliver HLTINF005 in-house, and it’s included free of charge for any Ombré Brow Course student who doesn’t already hold the unit. No prior cosmetic tattoo experience is required.
Certification
On completion of the Ombré Brow Course you’ll receive an Artisan Training Academy Certificate of Completion for the ombré brow cosmetic tattoo technique. This is a non-accredited training course, which means the certificate is not a nationally recognised qualification — for nationally recognised cosmetic tattoo training, see our Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing (SHB50321).
Training location
All training is delivered in-person at the Artisan Training Academy studio in Worongary on the Gold Coast. The studio is a working clinic environment, which means you’ll be learning in the same kind of setting you’ll eventually work in. If you want to combine ombré with a hairstroke technique to offer combination brows, the Nano Stroke Brows Course is the natural next step.
Course FAQs
Is the Ombré Brow Course accredited?
No — this is a non-accredited specialist technique training course. You’ll receive an Artisan Training Academy Certificate of Completion, but the course itself is not a nationally recognised qualification. If you’re looking for nationally recognised cosmetic tattoo training, our Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing (SHB50321) is the accredited pathway and covers ombré brow as one of several techniques within the full qualification.
Do I need any prior cosmetic tattoo experience to enrol?
No prior cosmetic tattoo experience is required, but you do need to hold HLTINF005 Maintain Infection Prevention for Skin Penetration Treatments before the practical component begins. If you don’t already hold HLTINF005, it’s included free of charge as part of your enrolment — we’ll deliver it to you as an RTO before your practical training days. The course is suitable for newcomers to cosmetic tattooing, Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing students, and existing PMU artists adding ombré brow to their service menu.
